Sugar Tree Country Store and Sugar House is a small retail and wholesale store in McDowell, Virginia with many potential gift options. Owned and operated by Glenn and Fern Heatwole and family, the store stocks a variety of pure maple products, jellies, honey, candles, hand crafted toys, baskets, pottery, and many other products. We would be glad to ship straight from Highland County, Virginia to you!
We have a real passion for all things natural. For our maple syrup, we use the latest in Reverse Osmosis techniques, but still value the importance of old fashioned family time as we work together to bring you a full range of excellent maple products. As a note, to preserve family time and to observe a day of rest, Sugar Tree Country Store is not open for business on Sundays.
The store and sugar house are located in the small town of McDowell, nestled in the mountains of Highland County, Virginia. Our all-natural maple syrup is produced from sugar maples growing at elevations of 3000 to 4000 feet, where the air is pure and the mountain streams are crystal clear. Also offered for sale, Sugar Tree Country Store prepares some of the best Apple Butter anywhere.
Our shop offers a wide variety of interesting and unusual items. The shop is located next to the Center for the McDowell Battlefield and local Civil War history.
